Questions

Services & Approach

What does DevRel as a service include?

DevRel Bridge gives developer-led companies senior DevRel strategy plus hands-on execution. That can include positioning, content, community, developer experience, sales enablement, and measurement. For the full breakdown, read DevRel as a service: what it includes and how it's priced, or start with the fundamentals in What is DevRel.

How is DevRel as a service different from hiring a DevRel consultant?

Unlike traditional consulting that stops at strategy documents, we execute alongside you. The work usually combines diagnosis, positioning, content, community, developer advocacy, and measurement. Discover proven strategies in our guide to building successful developer programs.

Do you work with startups or enterprise companies?

We work with companies ranging from early-stage startups to established enterprises. Our sweet spot is B2D (business-to-developer) companies with APIs, developer tools, or platforms that need to build and engage developer communities. For startups specifically, read our insights on why effective DevRel is crucial for startup success and our DevRel lessons for startups.

Do you work with companies outside of tech?

While our expertise is in developer relations, we occasionally work with companies in adjacent spaces like fintech, healthcare tech, or any industry that has a developer-facing product or API.
Pricing & Packages

How does your pricing work?

There are three core engagement options: a Developer Adoption Audit ($10K, delivered delivered within 5 business days after intake and access are complete), a DevRel Launch Sprint (From $22K for 4-6 weeks), and a 90-Day Developer Adoption Program ($30K-$45K per quarter). Each has defined milestones, delivery, and handover. Light advisory is available to existing clients when the scope is genuinely contained. For what changes the price and how to choose a budget, read how much DevRel consulting costs.

When does work actually start?

Work begins once the initial invoice is paid and agreed access is in place. Later payment schedules are agreed in the proposal and can accommodate enterprise procurement.

Where does light advisory fit?

Light advisory is for existing clients with a genuinely contained need: reviewing strategy, joining a monthly leadership call, or advising a team that already has operators in place. If the work needs diagnosis, assets, DX changes, content, and measurement, it belongs in an audit, launch sprint, or 90-day program. For insights on creating effective developer content, check out our guide on developer-friendly blog post structure.

Can I scale up or down my engagement?

Yes. You can start with an audit, move into a focused launch sprint, or scope a 90-day developer adoption program. The important thing is matching the engagement to the real problem rather than squeezing serious work into a light advisory arrangement.

Do you offer any guarantees?

While we can't guarantee specific metrics (as DevRel success depends on many factors), we do guarantee our commitment to your success. If you're not satisfied with our work in the first month, we'll work with you to make it right.
Working Together

How quickly can we get started?

We can typically start within a week of our initial conversation. An audit is delivered within 5 business days after intake and access are complete; launch sprints and 90-day programs are scheduled around the scope, delivery dependencies, and launch timeline.

What information do you need to get started?

We'll need to understand your product, target developers, current DevRel efforts (if any), business goals, and key challenges. We'll gather this information during our initial consultation call.

How do you measure DevRel ROI?

We work with you to define success metrics that align with your business goals. This might include developer adoption rates, community engagement, content performance, API usage growth, or developer satisfaction scores. We provide monthly reports tracking these metrics. Learn more about building and scaling programs in our step-by-step developer program guide.

Do you work with our existing team?

Yes! We're designed to complement and enhance your existing team. Whether you have marketing, product, or engineering teams, we'll work collaboratively to ensure DevRel efforts are aligned with your overall business strategy.
Expertise & Background

What's Marcos's background in DevRel?

Marcos has over 10 years of DevRel experience, including roles as Head of Developer Relations for EMEA & LATAM at Twilio and Global Director of Developer Relations at Circle. He's spoken at 50+ conferences worldwide and has built programs that reached hundreds of thousands of developers.

What industries have you worked in?

We have experience across communication APIs (Twilio), fintech and Web3 (Circle), developer tools, SaaS platforms, and various API-first companies. Our expertise translates well across any industry with a developer audience.

Do you have experience with our tech stack?

While we're technology-agnostic in our approach, we have deep experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, SDKs, developer tools, cloud platforms, and modern development workflows. We focus on the developer experience rather than specific technologies.
Getting Started

Should I start with an audit or a launch sprint?

Start with an audit when you know developer adoption is leaking but need evidence on where to intervene. Choose a launch sprint when you have a defined developer-facing launch and need the narrative, assets, and distribution system to make it land.

What if I'm not sure what I need?

That’s exactly what the consultation is for. We’ll discuss your product, goals, and constraints, then recommend the right starting point.

Can you help us hire an in-house DevRel team later?

Absolutely! Many of our clients eventually hire in-house teams, and we're happy to help with job descriptions, interview processes, and knowledge transfer. We see this as a success story - you've grown to the point where you need dedicated resources. If you're considering a DevRel career yourself, check out our ultimate guide to landing a DevRel job.
